Lava Storm 5G Review

Lava Storm 5G

The Lava Storm 5G is an affordable smartphone with value-packed performance. Equipped with a powerful dimensity processor and 5G speed for smooth multitasking and lightning-fast browsing. Plus, its 5000mah battery lasts all day, and dual camera captures stunning images to treasure forever.

This phone runs Android 13 with a clean user experience and features a punch-hole display and 33W fast charging support.

Lava Storm 5G Design

Lava has done an exceptional job at elevating design expectations among budget smartphones. Their minimalistic approach looks premium while providing a bloatware-free experience. Their device runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 6080 processor that makes multitasking quick and responsive; 5G connectivity enables fast browsing and video streaming; while their 5000mAh battery should easily last an entire day when used lightly.

The LG G6 features a 6.78-inch IPS display with a high refresh rate, providing smooth navigation when scrolling apps or playing games – no noticeable lag or stutter during my testing period. Unfortunately, however, HDR support is unavailable on this display, meaning some content might not reach full brightness – however movie watching was enjoyable with colours being fairly accurate.

Storm 5G’s dual camera setup consists of a 50MP primary sensor and an 8MP ultrawide lens camera, offering adequate performance at this price point, producing crisp images worthy of sharing on social media platforms and decent selfie photos in daylight conditions. Furthermore, one unique aspect is that its camera app includes a Google Lens shortcut for effortless translations and monument recognition tasks.

Lava has thoughtfully included a fast-charging adapter in their package to make topping up their device hassle-free on-the-go. The 5,000mAh battery can easily power through a day with light gaming, social media scrolling, YouTube streaming and clean Android 13 UI use. Although, I do wish they had removed prompts to charge it to 100% while plugging it in.
